TB-500 10mg

  • Chemical name: TB-500 (synthetic fragment of thymosin β-4)
  • A synthetic peptide corresponding to the active region of the actin-binding protein thymosin β-4
  • Developed from thymosin research

Mechanism: TB-500 binds G-actin and regulates actin polymerization. It is studied for roles in cell migration, angiogenesis and tissue-repair signaling in research models.

For research use only. Not for human or animal consumption.

Description

TB-500 Peptide Overview

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on the naturally occurring protein Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), an actin-binding regulator found throughout the body. In research it is studied for its central role in cell migration, tissue repair, and the regeneration of muscle, tendon and other connective tissues.

Promotes Cell Migration and Repair

TB-500 binds G-actin and regulates the actin cytoskeleton, a process that enables cells to migrate to sites of injury. This mechanism is studied for accelerating the repair of muscle, tendon, ligament and skin in research models.

Stimulates Angiogenesis

Like other repair-associated peptides, TB-500 is studied for promoting the formation of new blood vessels, improving circulation to damaged tissue and supporting the delivery of oxygen and nutrients during recovery.

Reduces Inflammation and Scar Tissue

Research indicates TB-500 can down-regulate inflammatory signaling and influence collagen organization, which is studied for reducing excessive scar formation and improving the quality of repaired tissue.

Supports Flexibility and Recovery

Through its effects on actin and connective tissue, TB-500 is investigated for improving tissue flexibility and shortening recovery timelines in musculoskeletal research models.

Additional Research Interest

TB-500 / Thymosin Beta-4 has also been studied in models of cardiac tissue repair, corneal and dermal wound healing, and hair-follicle research.
